Catcher in the Rye 1
My blog is about how Holden relates his life to the death of his brother, Allie. In the beginning around the third chapter you learn that his brother had died of leukemia several years before he went to Pency. I believe that the death of his brother is what creates almost every emotional aspect within Holden. The way he is rude was created when he found out life was cruel when his brother died at such a young age. His lack of care for his work in the other classes except English shows that his idea about the world is based around the fact that his brother's death was a sign of alack of G-D. Maybe Holden has lost faith in his life and his work from what I have read so far (note that I am only on the eighth chapter right now).
